Awesome Easter Basket Ideas

The Easter basket is always full of candy but it doesn’t have to be! Here are some fun suggestions for your Easter baskets this year. After all, church, Grandma, Auntie, the neighbor, their friends…we could go on, but you know the candy is covered.

Have you seen the Bananagrams yet? They are so much fun!! Even your littlest reader can take part in this fun, word-building game. Even better? You can take it with you if you are travelling to a non-child friendly home for Easter dinner. Your kiddo will have a lot of fun showing off their skills to their friends and cousins. Plus, isn’t the bag just too cute? (I like it because it fits in my purse!)
You can find Bananagrams at most major bookstores, teacher supply stores and Amazon.
Do you have an animal enthusiast? I have 4! They love studying them, watching them, going to the zoo and drawing them.
I love the Animal Tracks Stamps because they are both inexpensive and educational. Plus the kids love that they include both the front and back tracks–or left and right if the animal has only two feet! Depending on the area you are studying they have four different sets: Tropical Forest, Desert, Grassland and Ocean.
You can find these at teacher supply stores, Nature Watch, and Montessori n’ Such.
I love the idea of putting these in an Easter basket simply because they remind me of the traditional wrapped candy eggs that they have sold since I was little! They aren’t though–they are crayons!! (And truly incredible ones at that!)
I first saw these on the Let’s Explore blog. If you have never seen this blog you must check it out. It is absolutely filled with creative ideas to do with your child. Love the Montessori Method? Then you will love all of the hands-on goodness she offers in each and every post.
Anyway, back to the crayons, I had to have them. Conveniently enough Let’s Explore sells Crayons Rocks on their site! I ordered ours last month–a green bag and a purple bag, and they arrived 3 days later. Crayon Rocks have beautiful, vibrant colors and my children love them. I also secretly love them because they are incredible for building their fine motor strength!
How cute is this? Just in time for Spring–a Ladybug Playground with Mini Insect Viewer! Your child can catch ladybugs, or order them and watch them climb and fly up close!
These can be found online at The Big Zoo. Children young and old will enjoy this and it is very reasonably priced!
