Books for Grown-Ups: No Safe Haven

No Safe Haven by Kimberly Woodhouse and her twelve year old daughter Kayla was a really good read. The book is an action adventure fictional story about a mother and daughter who suffer through great challenges. Their faith in God is evident and it is really what gets them through. Along the way of their journey their strong faith in Christ alone touches others so much it just draws them to Christ as well. It was an interesting read. I really can say I enjoyed this book.

Something unique about this book is that it was written by a mother and daughter team but also that the daughter of the duo has a rare nerve disorder that prevents her from sweating and feeling pain. This can put her in great danger at times. The character in this book also has this rare condition making it even more interesting as she endures the hard Alaskan conditions. The book starts with them in a plane crash and survival is the theme for the rest of the book. There are surprising twists and turns that keeps the reader interested. I look forward to reading any other books this duo publishes.

No Safe Haven will be released by B&H publishers for purchase on March 15, 2011. I received a copy of this book free of charge from the publisher for the purpose of review.

B&H Fiction provides depth of story, engaging characters and strong plotlines to take readers to islands of romance, gritty streets of suspense and sweeping historicals. The novels are Pure Enjoyment.
