Floral Coaster Craft

We are probably all familiar with the old saying, “April showers bring May flowers.” As the April showers are ending, hopefully the May flowers are beginning to bloom in your area! As God continues to grace us with the majestic beauty of His amazing floral accents on our Earth, why not preserve some of those beautiful May flowers by making a kid-friendly floral craft that is sure to please!

Homemade floral coasters are a fun and practical way to use God’s beautiful and bright creation. Plus, they are a great gift for children to make for grandparents, teachers, friends, etc.

Supplies Needed

  • fresh flowers
  • craft foam
  • clear contact paper
  • colored duct tape

Instructions

First, explore God’s wonderful creation and find some pretty flowers. Press them between some heavy books for a few days or until they are flat. Cut the craft foam into a 4.5 inch squares.

After the flowers have been pressed, place each flower onto one of the foam squares. Next, cover the square (with the flower laying on top of it) with clear contact paper. Trim off the excess contact paper.

Finally, tape each side of the foam square with duct tape by wrapping the excess on the back side.

This is a fun and easy project and you end up with some REALLY cute coasters!!! Now, you are ready to enjoy your floral coaster craft while being both reminded and encouraged that once the rains pass, we can expect the beauty that only God can bring!
