What was your favorite toy as a child?
Holly Hobby Day and Night…slept with her every night ’til at least the 5th grade

What is your favorite toy as a grown-up?
my laptop
the Wii…so much fun in the winter, I especially love the hula hoop game!!

When you were little, what did you want to do when you grew up?
Be a mom and a teacher…

How many houses have you lived in?
one growing up and the one I live in now

Favorite homeschool hero?
So many…
Definitely some veteran moms that I know personally~ especially the ones who have high school kids or college kids and homeschooled them throughout all grades…

Are you an introvert or extrovert? How do you know?
Introvert, I can be a homebody, and shy around people at times. Once I get to know people, then I think I talk too much

If you could travel back in time, where would you go?
Colonial America…and of course I would have loved to have lived while Jesus was alive and to see Him teach…

What kind of homeschooler are you?
We mainly have a Charlotte Mason approach, we are pretty hands on, we are scheduled but definitely not afraid to deviate from the schedule if life interrupts it!

Do you have an accent?
Well, I am from New Jersey, so I am sure many think I do…but I promise…no one really says, “New Joisy” here!!!

Favorite dessert?
Recently my husband made me an ice cream sundae with cookie dough ice cream, on top of a brownie, with chocolate sauce..I think that was definitely my favorite!!

What are you good at?
being trustworthy. I do not ever repeat something I am told in confidence

What are you horrible at?
singing…I love to sing but can not I am horrible at it!! How I wish I had a good singing voice….

Tell us something really strange about yourself.
I am absolutely terrified of the Wizard of Oz movie. I still cannot watch it to this day or anything to even do with it. It makes me so scared!

Karen is married to the love of her life, Steve, and a homeschooling mom of 4 children ages 9,7,5, and 1.
