I agree with this article in so many ways. Thank you! I’ve been there too, but unfortunately, I choose to fight it out all alone by pulling away from everything, even support. I wondered why it still didn’t do the trick. All I wanted was my family to be happy. God used other means to bring me back from exile, so to speak, He had to set my mind and heart on Him, alone. I am thankful for articles like this, but I have found even in the reading the right thoughts, I would have still missed the point, I was so far buried under my exhaustion and Martha heart. Mary had to be cultivated. Everyone needs a friend and support system to encourage. If you know someone drowning, reach out and let them know they are not alone.

Thank you so much for this article! It was RIGHT-ON! Now that I’m coming “out of the ashes” I can see that this was exactly my problem! Too bad it took 2 years before I could see it for what it was. Wish there was more accessible information out there about this topic.

This is THE BEST article I’ve read on this subject. Thank you for the excellent article. Burnout can be a bit of a hush-hush topic, like depression and you’ve covered it so well here I am sure this will help many more mothers. Bless you!
