In Bloom

Would you like a fun and colorful way to embellish and add to green house plants or porch plants?
Or even an added splash of color for already-colorful blooms?

These whimsical, artsy Bloomin’ Buttons are super easy to make, and add pizazz to any potted plant. I found the original idea and tutorial in Family Fun Magazine.
What you’ll need:
26-gauge florists’ wire
Buttons in various colors and sizes
Cut wire into about 8″ sections, then thread buttons up through stacked buttons (in desired order), then fold and thread them back through. Twist these wires together all the way to the end, the simply stick into the dirt of potted plants and flowers.
Use multicolored buttons, or go with various shades of the same color for a tied-together look.

Other ways to embellish potted plants and garden spaces:
- Paint, add mosaic tile to, or decoupage clay pots
- Make can lid plant markers
- Scatter painted rocks around the soil
- Make Plant Pals
