Luke Holzmann

November 24, 2008 by Luke

Luke Holzmann has, according to his mom, always “walked to the beat of his own drum.” Even so, he has managed to become a rather personable individual; he’s always glad to listen and offer his perspective on things. He grew up sleeping in the same bed as his three siblings and recalls eating generic brand cereal as a child.

At two years of age, Luke fell down a flight of stone steps and cracked his skull open. The doctors were not hopeful. Today Luke has numerous accolades and not even a scar from his near fatal accident, though his long struggle with reading may have been a result of his eyes getting knocked around in the fall.

Luke has a very prophetic personality, meaning he likes things to be black and white and for people to just do the right thing. He is much harder on himself than others and is learning to wrestle with the gray areas of life and speak the truth with love and tact.

He is married to his college sweetheart, Brittany, and they are working on adopting three siblings from Kyrgyzstan. Luke considers his greatest accomplishment in this process thus far to be learning how to spell “Kyrgyzstan”.

Luke blogs five times a week for Sonlight Curriculum and his media production mentoring site Production-Now.com. He has produced many educational videos and published a children’s book. He is thrilled to be included as one of the regular bloggers at Heart of the Matter, and hopes that each of his posts are insightful, inspiring and helpful.
