Jennifer, I would like to thank you so much for this article.
I am not a homeschool mum – this wonderful fulfilling job is not as popular in the UK as it is in the States. However, I love visiting this site and have your badge on my site as a link. I always receive wonderful tips, which I can use when I spend time baby sitting my two beautiful granddaughters.
This post is so timely for me as I have been recently encouraging myself to keep a home which would be fitting for Christ to visit. It hasn’t been working, I hasten to add.
However, your article motivated and encouraged me. I now feel I can overcome my procrastination to start keeping a Christ centered home which belongs to Christ and not to me.

Oh I really needed to read this piece. Although I like a clean home because it helps keep a settled mind, I want more than that. I want it to be inviting and warm, not just clean. Great points. I actually just started printing some of my photography off with added scritpure verses and hanging them on the walls, too. I love seeing God’s written Word in plain sight in my home.

I love your thoughts about having a warm and inviting home, Jennifer! Hospitality is so much more than having a spic and span house, isn’t it?

I wish I had overheard your advice to Kela about desk size…ohhhh, bother! It may be a beautiful rolltop desk, but my, oh my, is my desk ever piled high with clutter!

Jennifer! Now I know more why God has blessed me with your friendship. Not only are you in my life for encouragement (and like-mindedness) in marriage, but now in the affairs of my household. I will be messaging you personally about getting and keeping my home warm and inviting.

You’ve already talked me out of getting a bigger desk because that would catch more clutter, so what I’ll be removing is more DUST!! We definitely need an air purifier. My house literally needs dusting EVERY DAY!!!!
