Welcome back to the FOURTH week of our 8 Ways to a More Organized Homeschool Carnival. This has been such a blast and I hope you all are learning just as much as I am. Week #4 is all about organizing your school records.
Remember, anyone can submit! We welcome posts, old and new. Everyone who submits a post will be entered for a chance to win an amazing prize package, currently valued at over $100!

- Lisa from Pockets of Time demonstrates how she uses a simple spreadsheet to track attendance in her homeschool.
- Debra Anderson from Emergent Homeschool gives us a peek at the way she takes attendance “for the record”.
- Molly Green from Econobusters says that the best thing about homeschooling is that we are able to focus on other things besides grades and test scores, but she highly recommends keeping a grade book of some sort. It’s nice for children to have an idea of how they are doing and nice for the parent to keep track of their child’s strengths and weaknesses.
- Cheryl Bastian from There’s Always a Story encourages families to organize high school records in her post Organizing High School Records: Writing a High Schooler’s Story.
- Tammy from Garden Glimpses shares her organizational methods for keeping track of her family’s homeschool records.
Don’t forget to send us your submissions for next week’s carnival: Organize your projects: storing paper, lapbooks, notebooks, and old projects. Due by 4/1, posted 4/3. When submitting, please remember to follow the requested format explained here.

With my oldest now in high school, his transcripts are something that are at the forefront of my mind. I must get more organized with the records.
