Tactile Alphabets

Learning the alphabet is one of the first steps in a little one’s education. Because this is such a crucial part of beginning literacy, we should make it hands-on and fun! Tactile letters can be a fun and imaginative way to introduce the alphabet to preschoolers. Simply print out the large letter templates, and glue on your choice of objects that correspond with the letter. When my son was a preschooler, we hung all our completed letters up on the playroom wall. If you don’t have the wall space for these, you can easily make a book by hole punching each sheet and placing it in a 3-ring binder.
