The Gift of Love Art Lessons DVD Giveaway–Closed!!!

At my church last Easter, an artist painted an amazing picture of Jesus’ face wearing the crown of thorns. He painted it live, on stage, as we sat mesmerized. Each brushstroke revealed a little more of the final image – wide swaths of white paint on an oversized black canvas, punctuated with red.
The message was loud and clear, though a word was never spoken.
“The Gift of Love” DVD from See the Light brings that concept home. The Christmas story is told as chalk artist Gloria Kohlmann illustrates each step of the journey. The DVD also includes three art lessons designed for ages 6 and older.
While I think this would be a fun addition to homeschool art as we approach Christmas, I think it is for a slightly older audience. My 12-year-old found the art lessons to be a little slow moving, though admittedly, his pace is of the sort reserved for 12-year-old boys and roadrunners. Your mileage may vary.
Even if your children aren’t ready for the art lessons, I suspect all ages will find the simultaneous storytelling and illustrating to be a wonderful treat for the season.
The DVD also includes some terrific bonus features, in addition to the lessons.
Congratulations Cheryl!!!
“This would be wonderful for several of our “budding artists”. Three of my children have been visiting their uncle on Saturday mornings to watch a painting instructional television show. Thank you for hosting this giveaway.
