Reading this study reminds me of when I watched the Passion of the Christ and saw Mary as a person for the first time. Also reminds me of a story in Brio when I was a teen which told the Christmas story from Joseph's point of view. This is a story I grew up hearing from birth, but sometimes, I think we take those stories for granted. They seem more like a fairy tale, or that just everyone had angels coming to them in those days. Mary might have even been a little scared for this angel to appear to her, but realizing who he was, he faith in God made her able to accept everything he said. We know what it's like to be a Mom, and I do think that makes us able to have an inkling of what it was like to be Jesus's Mom. I get emotional just thinking about it. I really LOVE this series, Lori!
